Bio:
Tatsu Yamashiro grew up training in martial arts and swordsmanship. She took an interest in samurai and studied books about the famous samurai throughout history. When she married and had two kids with her husband, Maseo Yamashiro, they lived a happy family until Maseo's brother, Takeo Yamashiro, killed him with a sword dubbed the Soultaker and set their house on fire. With Tatsu's fighting prowess, Takeo was disarmed and fled. Tatsu Yamashiro has lost everything she loved and has sworn vengeance against people who do wrong to innocent people. She took the Soultaker, which contains the soul of her dead husband, and became Katana.

Special Moves:
*Slashing Crescent: Katana swings her Soultaker upward and makes an energy crescent that flies towards her opponent.
*Sword Spin: She twirls around with the Soultaker, attacking the opponent.
*Blade Wheel: She tosses the Soultaker and it spins like a wheel, hurdling towards her opponent.
*Buzzsaw Sword: Katana spins the Soultaker close to her opponent.

Super Moves:
*Samurai Strike: Katana does a big samurai sword strike through her opponent.
*Soultaker's Souls: Katana holds the Soultaker upward and the souls from it start flying everywhere, hitting her opponent.

Neo Max:
*Bushido Strike: Katana does a series of slashes at her opponent and then the scene starts being covered by shoji screen doors. Silhouettes show Katana doing three quick strikes with her Soultaker. After the third strike, the shoji screen doors open, taking us back to the battlefield.

Ending:
Katana encounters Setsuna, a.k.a. the "Messenger from Afar" and they both clash blades.
Setsuna: "Well what do you know. Humanity is still around as to this day."
Katana: "And you are?"
Setsuna: "I am Setsuna, otherwise known as the Messenger from Afar. I am destined to prevent anyone who would dare stop Hell's Gate."
Katana: "And who would be preventing this Hell's Gate?"
Setsuna: "You're not out to be onto it, are you?!?"
Katana: "No, but whatever this Hell's Gate is, I won't let it open!"
Despite Katana winning, Setsuna has opened Hell's Gate upon modern-day Tokyo.
Setsuna: "Heh heh heh heh! You wish to know what Hell's Gate is like?"
Katana: "I assume it's a sinister abomination judging by it's name."
Setsuna: "It is, and no you're looking at it!"
Katana: "…No. It… can't be."
Setsuna: "Until we meet again!"
Knowing what she is about to be facing thanks to Setsuna, Katana now must fight the forces of Hell's Gate. Even a nearby old man asks for her to first meet him if she wants to know more about Hell's Gate.
Katana: "My god. This Hell's Gate has let loose."
Old Man: "You tell me. Hell's Gate was sealed away years ago during the Bakumatsu era."
Katana: "You know of this evil entity?"
Old Man: "Of course, young one. I've done plenty of research on the tale of how the hero, Kaede and Yuki, have defeated the demonic forces of it. I have more information in store if you wish to know more."
