Marvel vs. EA

Description

Before anyone asks, no, I'm not thinking about doing a Marvel vs. EA crossover. If you've seen a journal I've done last month, 3 of the Marvel crossover fan-ideas I actually had on there were Marvel vs. SNK, Marvel vs. Namco, and Marvel vs. Sega. The journal had some options of which crossover fighting game fan-idea I should do next year in early 2013. Besides just the Marvel crossover ideas, I also had 3 crossover ideas for DC Comics (DC vs. SNK, DC vs. Capcom, and DC vs. Sega) and 3 crossover ideas for Mortal Kombat (Mortal Kombat vs. Capcom Universe, Mortal Kombat vs. Namco Universe, and Mortal Kombat vs. Sega Universe). But of course, later on in life, I've been doing some thinking and I figured that I should do a crossover fan-idea with Mortal Kombat and Capcom (and it's even evident in my signature) so expect me to start MKvsCU by January 2013.

But anyways, onto this picture. For those who may remember, there was a project EA Games announced in the 2000s entitled Marvel vs. EA (then it was alternatively titled Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects). People thought it was gonna be a crossover game with Marvel characters and characters from any series by EA Games i.e. John Madden and even licensed games like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings) but unfortunately, it turns out that it was just an alternative continuity with original characters called the Imperfects. The sequel was supposed to be released but it was cancelled due to unfavorable receptions for the game and Marvel returned to Activision after leaving behind EA Games.

This is just my idea of what a 2010s Marvel vs. EA would be like and unlike Marvel Nemesis, this would actually be a crossover. I've added not just EA characters who came before 2010s, but also the ones from games during the 2010s (which is the present era that we live in). Who knows, maybe this idea would be better than Marvel Nemesis , since it will in fact be a Marvel vs. EA fighter.

FAQs (FAQs are subjected to change, BTW)
Q: How do you view the game as being played like?
A: It would play just like Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. it wold have a free-form fighting system with arena props to throw at opponents. It would also be like Power Stone and Super Smash Bros Brawl because there would be power-ups that can randomly appear in fights at any given time. There would also be finishing moves as well like in Marvel Nemesis.

Q: Would that game be rated Teen or Mature (especially given that there are characters from Mature-rated games like Dante's Inferno and Mass Effect)
A: I see the game as being rated Teen. I mean, I know plenty of T-rated games that have characters from M-rated titles like Soul Calibur Broken Destiny (with Kratos from God of War), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (with Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid), and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (with Resident Evil characters and Dante from Devil May Cry). So who cares?

Q: Would there be a story behind this crossover, in addition to Dormammu and Lucifer being boss characters?
A: No. There is no story. However, like with Dr. Doom and Albert Wesker in Marvel vs Capcom 3, you can say that Dormammu and Lucifer allied with eachother to cause a phenomenon that pits people from two worlds together. Also, Dormammu would be a boss for EA characters to fight, while Lucifer would be a boss for Marvel characters to fight. It's like with Akuma vs. Tekken characters and Ogre vs. Street Fighter characters in Street Fighter X Tekken.

Q: Even there is no story for Marvel vs. EA, would there be endings for the characters?
A: Yes. And those endings would be in animated comic-book form since, y'know, this is a Marvel crossover. Panels would illustrate every scene in the ending with characters talking.
