If you remember the first days of me doing Injustice guest fighter entries, my first MK character for Injustice was Kano. Now fast forward to right now and meet my newcomer! This is the tricky lizard Reptile!
*Scott McNeil did voice work for various animated shows. One of his best known is Beast Wars where he voiced Dinobot, Rattrap, Silverbot, Waspinator... Dinobot especially! Plus, Reptile needs to be talking like he use to do in other Mortal Kombat games before MK9.
*For those wondering if Reptile is wearing a mask just like fellow MK ninja Scorpion... surprisingly he doesn't this time.
*I would've gone with the Power class for Reptile but seeing as he's known for his speed like The Flash, I had to go with Skilled instead.
*Tricky Lizard is loosely based on his X-Ray move from MK9, only with a few changes.
*Remember Reptile's ending in Mortal Kombat 9 where Shang Tsung made a Raptor army for Reptile. Something like this happens in this ending and it's Lex Luthor who is being forced into genetically creating Raptors.
*Speaking of Shang Tsung, Reptile mistakes the Joker for him in his clash quote to which Joker replies, "I'm not Shang Tsung!". It should be noted that the Joker's Killing Joke fatality from Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe was parodied by Shang Tsung into something gory and M-rated (as opposed to what was seen in T-rated MKvsDCU).
*Like The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Shazam, Reptile is now another combatant to bring up his opponent's hairstyles.
*When you look at it this way, Reptile and Killer Croc are pretty much alike. Both of them are reptilians. Both of them eat people. Both of them bad guys. You get the rest. That's why Killer Croc would TOTALLY be rivals with Reptile in a Mortal Kombat vs. DC crossover (yes, even the already established MKvsDCU). So in clash quotes with Batman, Harley Quinn and Joker, this is teased alot.
*For those who don't know Dale Russell is, Dale Russell is a paleontologist infamous for depicting his idea of what a dinosauroid (a humanoid that evolved from a dinosaur) would be like. It should be noted that the dinosauroid he depicted is a Troodon-style one (and probably a long lost cousin of Reptile if you think about it). Reptile here is a Velociraptor-style
dinosauroid. So aparently, Superman knows who Dale is.
*Does Ares look like Shao Kahn?.... maybe?
