Aeraman is an exploration captain from Betelgeuse, an alien colony found in the Orion constellation. Aeraman was hired by the senate to venture into the planet Earth and help bring influence to a new civilization. Story Mode:

Intro Cutscene:

(We're treated with a History Channel bumper.)
-Dubbed-over voice: "History Channel, where we speak gospel facts. No not gospel in a religious way but y'know."
(We're shown a panoramic view of outer space, accompanied by random pictures of aliens, alleged ufo-related photos, landmarks from around the world, pictures of gods and creatures from different mythologies, and a picture of Hitomi Tanaka in a bikini before cutting to more pictures of aliens, landmarks, and supernatural mythology characters. All of it is narrated by a fake British accent.)
-Disembodied voice: "When you look up in space, you ask yourself. What is up with these different gods that mankind has worshipped throughout history? What individuals were talented enough to build magnificent landmarks like the Great Sphinx? How are Hitomi Tanaka's knockers natural? OK, that part is really irrelevant to our show so nevermind. Anyways, could it be that all these things are related to extraterrestrial life from ancient times? Hey, how the hell do we know?"
(Cut to footage of Giorgio Tsoukalos from an episode of Ancient Aliens, accompanied by a dubbed-over voice.)
-Dubbed-over Giorgio (voiced by Nolan North): "If you think about it one second, it could be possible that our ancestors, my ancestors, your ancestors, anyone's ancestors really, have come into contact with aliens, whom they must've believed to be gods. Yeah, I know it sounds like something Prometheus bullshi...ITAKE! but hey, I ain't sayin' it's aliens, man, so that stuff is debatable."
(Cut to a black background with white bold text saying "HERE IS AN EXAMPLE! WE @#$% YOU NOT!", accompanied by clock-ticking sounds. 3 seconds later, we cut to the Orion galaxy. The camera rotates to the location of the Betelgeuse star as well as a colony close to it. Then we cut to a Betelgeusian council meeting. We see Aeramen surrounded by a bunch of senators sitting in their chairs.)
-Senator #1: "We here at the Betelgeusian senate would like to give you an assignment, Aeramen."
-Aeramen: "I am all ears."
-Senator #2: "There is a planet in the Solar System called Earth."
-Senator #3: "There is a civilization out of all the other civilizations on the planet that need a revelation."
-Aeramen: "Show me."
(As Aeramen steps off of a circular center, the senate create a hologram of planet Earth.)
-Senator #3: "Somewhere in the world, there are people who have not been spiritually inspired yet. It is your job to find the perfect place to spread your word to the people."
-Aeramen: "But how will I actually pull this off?"
-Senator #4: "With the knowledge that we Betelgeusians hold and the records we've kept throughout history, you can be a savior."
-Senator #2: "This isn't all. We've hired our technician who can back you up in your journey. Meet Terusus."
(Terusus comes to the scene. Terusus (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) looks like a grayish blue man with dreadlocks on the back of his head and a beaded goatee.)
-Terusus: "Good morning, Aeramen"
-Aeramen: "Glad you can be there for me." *shakes hands with Terusus*
-Senator #5: "We hope that after this journey, you will return safely and report to us. But even then, you will need a communicator so you can contact us through a hologram."
-Senator #6: "Good luck on your adventure, Aeramen and Terusus."
(Cut to the Betelgeusian spaceship as it heads for Earth. We then cut to Aeramen and Terusus in the ship's operation.)
-Aeramen: "Alright, our mission is to bring inspiration to a civilization that has not been theologically enlightened yet! Is everything under control?"
-Terusus: "Yes captain!"
-Aeramen: "Alright. We are good to go then. WARP SPEED!"
(The ship goes to warp speed and we cut to a desert in Egypt where the ship lands to. Aeramen and Terusus hop off of the ship and look around.)
-Aeramen: "So this is Earth, I see. Now remembering our mission, I want to ask you, Terusus. Anyone in this region already spiritually uplifted?"
-Terusus: "According to my calculations, We are in Egypt, where we obviously don't need to be at because people there already have their own religion."
-Aeramen: "Exactly, and we can't go spread inspiration in Europe because the continent is mostly Christian, meanwhile this Sahara region, which Egypt is in, is mostly Muslim. What about Asia?"
-Terusus: "They're mostly either Buddhist, Hindu, Shinto, Taoist, etc."
-Aeramen: "Then I guess that means we'll have to find the perfect country for our inspirational word. In the meantime, I will go alone. I guess you should do the same thing. Report back to me when you've found a spot."
(Aeramen leaves Terusus behind to venture around the world.)
-Terusus: "I will do, Captain."

Prologue:

Betelgeuse, one of the many stars in the Orion galaxy. It is the ninth most brightest star in that galaxy and is the landmark for a extraterrestrial civilization called the Betelgeusians. Betelgeusians are human-like in appearance, only with pointy ears and skin colors that are blended with gray, they live in colonies close to the star, and they are said to be a voyager race. Aeramen, himself, is a Betelgeusian. The Betelgeuse senate has selected him, as well as his partner Terusus, to travel to the planet Earth and help bring inspiration to a society who has yet to have a religious system. As Aeramen and Terusus land their ship to Earth, they see what was going on in the planet for there is much conflict around Earth due to Belial exploiting humanity with the Sphere of Wonders, the artifact that the Prince of Darkness is keeping to himself. Aeramen will have to go alone when facing warriors on Earth.

Rival Cutscene:

(Scene takes place in a circular arena surrounded by mountains, skulls, and crooked pillars with pointy ends and the sky is covered in clouds with colors ranging from grey to blackish blue. Aeramen walks over to the circle and sees Terusus there.)
-Aeramen: "Terusus! What are you doing here?"
-Terusus: "After venturing everywhere to no avail, I found this artifact that I've heard of known as the Sphere of Wonders."
-Aeramen: "Who told you of this thing, and what is it suppose to be like?"
-Terusus: "A man from a village in Europe told me of the sphere and how it can fulfill the desire of anyone who wishes upon it."
-Aeramen: "Perhaps we can use the sphere to help us find a civilization that hasn't gotten a theology yet."
(All of a sudden, Croqos walks in.)
-Croqos: "Croqos eat weird-looking knights!"
-Aeramen: "LOOKOUT!!!"
(Croqos swings his spiked club and, though he misses Aeramen who dodges it, he does hit Terusus, thus killing him.)
-Aeramen: "TERUSUS!!!"
-Croqos: "GRAAAAAAAWGH!!!"
(Aeramen gets out a device to call in a hologram of a Betelgeusian senator.)
-Senator: "We have received your call, Aeramen. What is going on?"
-Aeramen: "A monster just attacked me and my partner! Well of course, I survived but Terusus was killed by the beast!"
-Senator: "I feel bad for him, but anyways, have you found a civilization to spread spiritual encouragement to yet?"
-Aeramen: "Not yet! But it looks like I'll have to slay this monster before doing that!"
(Aeramen quickly puts away the device.)
-Croqos: "What puny little device coal skinned man have?"
-Aeramen: "It's non of your business! You killed my friend Terusus and now I shall end you right here!"

Final Boss Cutscene:

(After defeating Croqos, Aeramen sees the fabled Sphere of Wonders and walks towards it, only to be carried over to Hell. Aeramen is greeted by Belial.)
-Aeramen: "What is this place?"
-???: "This is Hell."
-Aeramen: "Who are you and why are you here? I am in no need to fight you right now!"
-Belial: "I am Belial, the Prince of Darkness. You are in my home, Hell. This is a place where I live."
-Aeramen: "Well I better get the hell out of here, I need to enlighten a certain civilization."
-Belial: "Oh really? Bringing enlightenment to a heathen society, since I'm assuming you're talking about islanders or whatever jungle dwelling folk is out there. You are no Buddha, whatever your name is."
-Aeramen: "I am Aeramen! I am an explorer from the Betelgeuse star system! I was sent here to inspire those who haven't been religiously uplifted yet! Since you wish to block my path, I will put you out of your misery, Prince of Darkness!"
(Belial summons his trident Nequitius into the scene.)
-Belial: "Very well then. I guess this means I'll have to end your journey from the cosmos! Last thing I want to see is people sucking your di-"

Ending:

(Belial is destroyed and the Sphere of Wonders is now free for Aeramen to access.)
-Aeramen: "The Prince of Darkness is no more. However, not only do I want to find the perfect spot, but for Terusus to come back. Sphere of Wonders, please make all of that happen."
(After making a wish, Aeramen cuts the sphere in half. The scene cuts to a jungle civilization in an unknown (though presumably Oceanic) country/island that is similar to the Incas. The population consists of brown-skinned people in stereotypical tribal wear and they speak in a tribal language. The Betelgeusian ship flies high up on top of the spot where the city.)
-Tribesman: (What is this?)
(Cut to Aeramen and Terusus in their ship.)
-Terusus: "Are you sure they are ready?"
-Aeramen: "That is why we were sent to Earth, Terusus. Plus, I have knowledge of what language people speak."
(A pillar of blue light hits the center of the city ground and Aeramen descends down to preach to everyone in the island... in their native language.)
-Aeramen: (People of this island, I have come to represent your lives! I have traveled this world to bring you the good word that the powers that be demanded! However, on that journey, I have battled a great evil! That evil being the Prince of Darkness!)
-Tribeswoman: (This is getting interesting.)
-Aeramen: (I am your savior and when you pass away, this is where you will find me and my brethren!)
(Aeramen opens up a special device and pulls up an image of the cosmos. Everyone is amazed.)
-Aeramen: (This is the celestial realm that you will enter in the afterlife. We are located in the Orion galaxy.)
-Tribesman: (Orion?)
-Aeramen: (It is where you will rest, in a system called Betelgeuse. Those who put their faith in me are welcome.)
(Aeramen puts away the device.)
-Aeramen: (That is all I have for everyone. Please remember what good word you have heard of me.)
(Aeramen ascends in the same pillar of light from before and then the scene cuts to two swords clashing eachother to form an X in front of a shield that fades to existence, followed by the text "EPIC BLADES" emerging from behind the shield, followed by a record scratch as we cut to some more dubbed-over footage of Giorgio Tsoukalos from Ancient Aliens.)
-Dubbed-over Giorgio: "HOLD UP! Before we go to credits, you, the player, must ask yourself. Could life outside of our planet be responsible for all the spiritual mumbo jumbo like you saw with that alien dude, who people are now gonna treat like some god? Could the gods in different religions, even the Abrahamic god for that matter, be aliens? Could any supernatural occurance be a result from aliens? Could angels, demons, and other mythic humanoids be aliens? Hell, what about this Belial guy? Was he an alien?"
(The footage freezes and a cutout of the trident Nequitius flies over at Giorgio's head with the flag tied to it saying "NO! YOU DUMBASS MORTALS!", followed by the Price Is Right losing horn after two Xs cover Giorgio's eyes. Afterwards, the scene cut to the credits with a montage of character renders and screenshots from each character's story mode as well as Sevendust's "Corrected" playing throughout.)
...Yep, you're reading it right here. This Epic Blades character is none other than an ancient alien. You know, an ancient astronaut. Prometheus, anyone?

Aeramen is like those reported humanoid aliens that are coming form star clusters and what not like the Pleiadians (a.k.a. Nordic aliens) and the Vegans and the Sirians and the list goes on. I say this because he's coming from an alien colony that gets its name from a star called Betelgeuse.

If you've ever played as Darth Vader, Yoda or the Starkiller in SoulCalibu IV (the former two were either one depending on console version), Aeramen feels like those Star Wars guys since this is Epic Blades, a game set in the medieval era and yet here you have Aeramen who fights with a lightsaber. And hell, to reflect on all that, his sword is even called LightCalibur (combination of lightsaber and SoulCalibur).

Also, as you can tell just by reading this entry, Aeramen's story mode is poking fun at the show Ancient Aliens as well as Giorgio Tsoukalos himself, though it's mainly in the intro and ending. The History Channel bumper and clips of Giorgio are dubbed over all in its satirical glory (with Nolan North attached) I mean, if South Park can lampoon Ancient Aliens (they did that in A History Channel Thankgiving), why not I do it as well.

One more thing, you probably recognize the voice actor Rhasaan Orange, who voices Cyrax and Kintaro in Mortal Kombat 9. That's who's voicing Aeramen.
