Story Mode:

Prolouge:

(A young, sad-looking Andrew Tallack is sitting on the ground at a back alley on a rainy night. He is sheltering himself in a particular area where rain wouldn't come down on him. He is holding a teddy bear construct as he looks down on the ground.)
There is a human subspecies called Meta Sapiens. Meta Sapiens are rare step into human evolution for they are people born with superhuman powers and abilities. Unfortunately however, Meta Sapiens are prone to being misunderstood and discriminated against by normal humans who will often treat them like they are something of a malevolent nature, that they may be "cursed" or "threats against humanity", despite that Meta Sapiens can be either good or evil just like regular human beings.
(A now grown-up and totally angry Andrew Tallack chops off an upper half of a bank robber's head with his battle-ax construct during a bank robbery that is going on. In the background are other bank robbers who have been cut to pieces by Andrew, as indicated by severed body parts lying everywhere.)
Andrew Tallack is a Meta Sapien who has grown up in hard times that have forever affected his perspective on life. Andrew grew up in an enviornment where not only has he been mistreated by the norm, but has also been noticing that in the streets of Chicago, when crime is regularly committed, police hardly do anything to stop it. Andrew took it upon himself to live his entire career as a vigilante, fighting crime by any means necessary. Because of his actions, most of the norm not only begin to realize that not all Meta Sapiens are bad, but praise Andrew Tallack as a man Chicago needs to punish criminals. Meanwhile, some other normal folks still prejudice towards Meta Sapiens view Andrew as a living disaster against society.

Stage 4 Interlude - vs. Detective Thundarr:

Pre-Fight cutscene

(Andrew Tallack is in Downtown Phoenix as he hangs a severed head of a mugger on a street lamp.)
Andrew: "This is exactly what you get."
(Detective Thundarr comes in and sees the severed head.)
Thundarr: "What the hell are you doing?"
Andrew: "You gotta a problem with all this?"
Thundarr: "You just killed a felon who hasn't been convicted yet! Why"
Andrew: "Let me ask you this. Do you law enforcement types do shit about these people?"
Thundarr: "Yes we do."
Andrew: "Well where I come from, authorities don't even give a damn."
Thundarr: "Well they should because..."
Andrew: "Have you not been to Chicago, dumbass!"
(Thundarr punches Andrew in the face. Andrew gets up.)
Thundarr: "Call me a dumbass, huh?"
Andrew: "I'm gonna have to teach people like you what to do when violent crimes go rampant. Don't want me hurting these scumbags, then why don't you hurry up and do something about it!"
Thundarr: "There is no need to be angry at me or..."
Andrew: "You just punched me in the face, didn't you?"

After Match cutscene

(Andrew kicks Thundarr down to the ground.)
Andrew: "Now get out of my way, unless you're about to babble about how I'm in the wrong because of what I do!"
(Thundarr gets back up.)
Thundarr: "Y-you're not gonna kill me?"
Andrew: "Fuck no! I would never actually slaughter a person in law enforcement! I know better than that!"
Thundarr: "Well why can't you also leave criminals alone and let the authorities decide if the criminal is guilty and whether or not the criminal deserves death?"
Andrew: "Too many wrongdoers get away with injustice. I know what it's like because I've grown up in such an environment."
Thundarr: "Now I understand you are a Meta Sapien so I should probably say this before leaving. If you want people to be more trusting of your kind, why not at least use your powers to fight crime without resorting to murdering them. Let the law sort the rest out."
(Thundarr leaves the streets while Andrew Tallack cuts the rope that was hanging onto the criminal's severed head.)
Andrew: "Idealists are so clueless."
(Andrew goes to a back alley and dumps the severed head onto a garbage bin.)

Stage 8 Interlude - vs. El Peligro:

Pre-Fight cutscene

(In Iztapalapa random male citizen, who happens to be a father of three children, is kneeling down covered in blood from inflicted wounds presumably done by El Peligro's gang. Camera zooms out to show other citizens being held hostage by El Peligro and his fellow cartel thugs who are about to execute them in front of the public.)
El Peligro: "Everybody, we are running this bitch here! Those who cross us will be like this fool!"
Hostage #1: "Help!"
El Peligro: "Shut the fuck up! Are you ready, boys?"
(Just as a masked cartel executioner is about to decapitate the hostages, a buzz saw construct flies towards the executioner's neck, beheading him. The headless body falls on its back, dropping the chainsaw that is still active and spinning around.)
El Peligro: "What the?!?"
(Andrew Tallack arrives while standing on a floating platform construct. He jumps off the platform and chops a cartel gangbanger verticaly in half with an axe construct.)
Cartel thug #1: "Who is this gringo?"
Cartel thug #2: "This man must be possessed!"
Andrew: "Possessed? Yeah right!"
(Andrew makes scissor constructs and cuts the hostage free from the ropes tied onto their arms behind their backs.)
Hostage #2: "Thank you, sir."
Andrew: "Don't mention it."
Kid: "Papa! Thanks for saving my papa, stranger!"
Andrew: "Yeah, sure."
El Peligro: "You wanna mess with me, gringo? Well you're gonna have another thing coming when..."
(Andrew places the axe construct close to the side of El Peligro's neck.)
Andrew: "When what? You know what I hate as much as street gangs? Narco terrorists like yourself! This is your only chance. Either repent of your crimes or be beheaded like what would've happened to that child's father had I not come to save him."
El Peligro: "You can choke on a horse's cock in Hell, ese."

After Match cutscene

(Andrew Tallack makes a huge sword construct and slices El Peligro's crab-like arm off.)
Andrew: "This is what you get for being a cartel dirtbag!"
El Peligro: "Bite me, you little shit."
Andrew: "Not gonna happen."
(Andrew swings his sword at El Peligro's waist, chopping his torso off.)
Andrew: "You know what..."
(Andrew morphs his sword into a dagger construct. He walks over to the disembodied El Peligro and picks up the severed torso by the head.)
Andrew: "...since you folks like to use the Colombian necktie execution on those who oppose you..."
(Andrew slits El Peligro's throat and out from the wound comes his tongue, forming a Colombian necktie.)
Andrew: "Now how do you like that happening to you?"
(Andrew throws the severed torso to the ground and walks away.)
Citizen #1: "Who was that strange gringo?"
Citizen #2: "I don't know. But I have heard of some people called "Meta Sapiens" who are supposed to be these people born with special powers."
Citizen #3: "Sounds like some X-Men stuff right there."
Citizen #2: "But thank goodness he saved us from that cartel."

Final Boss Cutscene:

(Andrew Tallack enters Xordok's lair, which is a huge laboratory like throne room with all kinds of technological elements surrounding the room. Xordok is sitting on his throne which is on top of a center platform that contains stairs.)
Xordok: "Well lookie here. If it isn't self-righteousness man?"
Andrew: "Let me guess, you want crime to be legal?"
Xordok: "I could care less about crime that goes on in the cities! But I will bring in some legislations when I get my way."
Andrew: "What is your purpose?"
Xordok: "You see the Neo Momentum? That is what I am using to obtain power from. That artifact originated from my planet and my chance of using it for my schemes back in it failed. Hopefully on Earth, things are different and I will take over the entire galaxy!"
Andrew: "Oh really? Is this why you're trying to make this place a police state? At least, that's what I'm assuming for now."
Xordok: "As a matter of fact... yes."
(Xordok gets off his throne and hovers to Andrew.)
Xordok: "I didn't want government officials to be watered down so I used my charismatic tactics to gain approval from the masses. Yes, some people are actually against me, and YOU, sir, are one of these people. You want to tear me down and expose my megacorp to the world! Well it ain't happening!"
Andrew: "Is that right? You know what I think is worth happening?"
Xordok: "And what is it, Tallack?"
(Andrew creates a sword construct and prepares for battle.)
Andrew: "Your head on my blade construct."
Xordok: "That thing is not going to do any good because constructs are obviously temporary and they can be deactivated and disappear."
Andrew: "...You do have a point. But I will still kill you regardless!"
Xordok: "If you kill me, the whole media will go apeshit over the incident and you would be proving the points of people who are prejudice against Meta Sapiens such as yourself. Is that what you want, Tallack? Homo sapiens being even more terrified of the metas?"
Andrew: "...That doesn't matter for now! All I want to to correct everything that goes on in the city! And why would you know about us Meta Sapiens? You're a freakin' Thesian!"

Epilouge:

(Andrew Tallack is being surrounded by Xordok's troopers in the hall of Thesus Inc., aiming their guns at him.)
Andrew Tallack was unable to trust authorities nowadays, hence why he often maimed criminals to their deaths. He noticed that Xordok was a horrid would-be ruler of the universe and his influence would corrupt politics and law enforcement around the world. But despite having killed the evil Xordok, he was still made suspicious of, especially by officials who began to brand him as a "super terrorist".
(A shirtless Andrew is sitting on a boulder at a deserted island, looking at the ocean.)
The troops who served Xordok chased Andrew away into a deserted island across the Atlantic ocean. This meant that Andrew can no longer stay in the city so long as people tend to be untrusting of him. He now lives in said island alone and can only come by at his former home whenever trouble is afoot. Andrew decided that he shall only stay in Illinois permanently when his reputation has softened.

(Linkin Park's "P5hng Me A*wy" starts playing throughout as the Cyber Cataclysm logo pops up before cutting to credits which's background is accompanied by animated light-blue cyber grids moving everywhere while the credits are rolling.)
I sure as hell need to keep up with uploading more Cyber Cataclysm entries. I've got lots of stuff to do, especially since I'm out of school. Now onto Andrew Tallack.

If you've heard terms like "mutant", "mutate", "metahuman", "post human", "esper" or "conduit", these terms are used by different fictions to describe humans who are born with special powers (though in the case of "mutates" and "metahumans", they're only humans who receive powers rather than being born with them). I always felt the need to include a someone of a superpowered human subspecies in Cyber Cataclysm, especially given the game's sci-fi oriented nature.

Andrew Tallack is a meta sapien, a term I came up with rather than calling him any of the aforementioned terms from the above paragraph (since those terms are clearly meant for use in whatever works they are featured in like Marvel's mutates and DC's metahumans) so he's sort of a superhero kinda character... well, let's say he's a nineties antihero because Andrew uses his powers to brutally eviscerate criminals. So think of him as like Machester Black from Superman vs. The Elite or a Green Lantern version of The Punisher (despite that, theorietically, Frank Castle would be rejected by the Green Lantern Corps. for having no qaulms about killing).

I really like this character, it's like a mix between batman and green lantern.

And I know you're done with epic blades but if you're interested I had an idea for an original character and a guest character for either that or other projects.
